The United States has the best military in the world.
Gordon believes the President is abusing it while the district's current Representative does nothing, and he will change that.
An oath that continues
Gordon served as an aviator in the United States Navy, flying the A-7E Corsair II off aircraft carriers. Like everyone he served with, he swore an oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. He sees this campaign as a continuation of that oath.
A war with no plan
When you put on the uniform, you place your life in the hands of the leaders making the decisions, all the way to the top. In Gordon's flying days, every mission had a clear objective, a plan to achieve it, and an exit strategy. It is painfully obvious that this administration had no real plan for going to war with Iran, and now that the country is in it, no plan for getting out.
The same administration has demeaned and dismissed military leaders, ignored the advice of those who remain, and installed a Secretary with zero military or leadership experience, all while cutting services for veterans and calling anyone who objects unpatriotic. The district's current Congressman has done nothing to oppose any of it. Congress must step up and force the President to honor the Constitution.
Protecting Americans means having a plan
Protecting Americans means having a plan, being honest with Congress and the public about what the country is doing and why, and never sending sailors and airmen into harm's way without a strategy to bring them home. That is not what is happening right now.
Two carrier battle groups are now deployed in an undeclared war with no exit strategy, with tens of thousands of Americans in uniform in harm's way. Congress has not declared war or authorized this presence, instead letting the President operate with no supervision. The President is abusing the best military in the world, the district's current Representative is doing nothing, and Gordon Bryan will change that.
